Singapore: A red car was captured on camera speeding and beating a traffic light almost causing accident.
In the cam footage, a red car was speeding in a two-lane road in a neighborhood towards a traffic light that had turned red ahead.
As the traffic light was red ahead, cars and van was going to make their right turn. However, the red car sped through the traffic light. Almost causing an accident with the right turning van. Luckily, the van was alert enough to spot the speeding red car. Avoiding a fatal accident.
Failing to conform to traffic signal is an offence that will net 12 demerit points and a fine of up to $400-500 points. Exceeding speed limit on a road will net 4-24 demerit points; prosecution in court – depending on the speed limit exceeded.
