Singapore: A female cyclist was caught on dashcam footage, cycling on Pan-island Expressway (PIE) expressway.

In the dashcam footage, a female cyclist wearing a sundress was whisking past traffic on an expressway alone. In the footage, she was cycling through heavy traffic into the merging lane ahead. After cycling past some vehicles in the middle. She filtered towards the emergency left lane of the expressway and continue cycling in the expressway.

We are not sure how she ended in the expressway. Incident like this had been surfacing on the internet space after a raise in cycling as a hobby. Just recently, a cyclist and his kid was caught on dashcam footage cycling on ECP expressway.

However, cycling on the expressway in Singapore is illegal and under Rule 3 of the Road Traffic (Expressway – Excluded Vehicles) Rules 2010, cyclists are not permitted to ride their bicycles, including Power Assisted Bicycles, on expressways. Cyclists who are found riding on expressways may be liable for a fine not exceeding $2,000 or imprisonment of up to 6 months.
