White smoke was billowing out from a car with flame at the bottom of the car.
The driver had already escaped and was standing safely away from the car.
A possible cause of the fire could be an accident, electrical faults and fuel leaks. If you notice any abnormalities in your car’s performance, or if it smells of petrol or burning, bring it to a mechanic immediately. Failing to do so could result in a dangerous fire. Always keep a fire extinguisher in your car in case of an emergency.
What to do if your car is on fire?
If circumstances allow, signal and quickly move to the nearest safe spot. Once you stop, turn off the car and get everyone out of the car. Keep everyone away from the vehicle and keep them at least 100 feet away. Call 995 and alert oncoming traffic if possible.
It is not recommended that you try to put out the fire yourself. Opening the hood or car doors increases air supply, which can make it worse.
