Singapore: In a submitted footage, a white car was shown to filter out from the left lane into the middle lane. Dangerous filtering into the path of the motorcyclist that submitted the footage.
To add to that, the car was filtering out of a double white line towards a chevron marking. Base on highway code, no overtaking or lane filtering is allow at double white line. Overtaking or making U-turn is not allow on road that is painted with double white line. No driving or parking of vehicles in chevron area.
It is an offence to filter or overtake at double white line. Failure to adhere to double white line rules will result in 4 demerit point and fine of up to $150. For dangerous driving, offender will be liable to a fine not exceeding $5,000 or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding 12 months or to both.
