A foreign man was seriously injured in a traffic accident in Geylang, Singapore, on Monday (March 10) at around 10 AM. He had just finished a meal and was standing by the roadside when he suddenly saw an out-of-control car speeding toward him. He tried to run but was unable to escape and was hit, thrown two meters away, and left bleeding profusely on the ground.

The accident occurred at the junction of Geylang Road and Geylang 16th Lane. Witnesses reported that after the collision, an electrical box and a tree were also knocked over due to the impact. The injured man, believed to be a foreign tourist, lay motionless with severe injuries, including a deep wound on his thigh. Paramedics provided emergency medical aid before rushing him to Tan Tock Seng Hospital.
According to reports, the driver of the vehicle, a middle-aged Chinese man, appeared dazed and disoriented after the crash. Witnesses observed him behaving erratically inside the car, mumbling incomprehensibly, swaying, and even laughing at one point. He also attempted to get out of the car but seemed too weak to stand. Paramedics later administered an IV drip and helped him out of the car before sending him to Raffles Hospital.
Before hitting the foreign man, the car had already knocked over two motorcycles near Geylang 23rd Lane, about 200 meters from the accident site. A motorcyclist reported seeing the driver dancing inside his car just before the crash. Authorities have confirmed the incident and are investigating the cause of the accident.
