Four Hospitalized After Multi-Car Pile-Up on East Coast Parkway

A multi-car accident on the East Coast Parkway (ECP) sent four people to Raffles Hospital on 3 OCT 2024. The Singapore Civil Defence Force reported that the incident occurred at about 5:20 p.m. on the expressway heading towards Changi Airport, just after the Fort Road exit.

According to the Land Transport Authority, the crash caused significant traffic congestion, stretching from before the Tanjong Katong Road exit to the Fort Road exit.

Motorists were advised to avoid the first two lanes.

Footage showed the aftermath, involving three taxis and five cars. Two cars were seen atop the pile-up, with a red taxi underneath, its front bumper and hood heavily damaged. Behind the taxi, a black car also appeared with a crushed hood.
