Five people were taken to hospital following a multi-vehicle accident along the Seletar Expressway (SLE) towards the Bukit Timah Expressway (BKE) after the Upper Thomson Road exit on the morning of March 14.

The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) and police were alerted to the incident at about 10am.
The accident involved two trucks, two lorries and a motorcycle. During the rescue operation, two lorry drivers were found trapped in their driver’s seats. SCDF officers used hydraulic rescue equipment to extricate them.
According to the police, five people were taken conscious to hospital, including:
- a 32-year-old motorcyclist
- two lorry drivers aged 42 and 37
- two lorry passengers aged 28 and 52

Three of the injured were taken to Khoo Teck Puat Hospital, while the other two were taken to Woodlands Health Campus.
Images circulating online showed several heavy vehicles involved in the crash, with one lorry overturned and another colliding with the road divider.

Police investigations are ongoing.
