Singapore: A tire was spotted free-roaming at Tanah Merah Coast Road almost hitting a cyclist along the process.
In the dashcam footage, a tire was captured on camera suddenly coming loose from a truck travelling at Tanah Merah Coast Road. The tire dislodged from the truck, and started rolling towards the left lane towards a cyclist that was travelling on the cycling lane.
The cyclist was not aware of the tire moving towards him from his rear and looks like the tire is going to crash right into the cyclist. It was a close shave as the tire changed direction and move inwards away from the cycling lane.
As the tire rolled pass the cyclist towards the inner lane, the cyclist turned his head and stared at it. The cyclist seems to had been shaken by the free-rolling tire.
The tire eventually rolled to the right lane of the road and looks to had knocked into the oncoming dashcam car/truck.
Tanah Merah Coast Road is a dedicated on-road cycling lane that was launch on April 22, 2017. It is one of the first on-road cycling lane on a public road that is on the mainland of Singapore.
