Reckless Cyclist get horned on road and fell

Singapore: A cyclist was caught on camera riding recklessly in the middle of the road at night.

In the submitted dashcam footage, a male cyclist was caught on camera crossing a traffic junction halfway and exiting the pedestrian crossing onto the middle of the road.

As the cyclist proceeds to cycle in the middle of the road, the cam car approaches via the left lane of the road. Seeing the cyclist, the cam car proceeds to sound his horn. The cyclist was caught by surprise and made a reckless lane switch towards the left lane.

As the cyclist filter towards the left lane, the cyclist bumps onto a ramp and fell over on the pathway.

Cam car proceed to turn left into the HDB driveway, and was heard shouting at the cyclist “You siao ah”. The video then ends.

Because of Covid-19, cycling had experience a raise in popularity, and following the raise, cases of reckless cycling on the road too.

It is an offence to ride on the road without a helmet, front and rear light. On the road, at all times, the cyclist must keep to the left lane of the road as close as possible.
