 Car accident at Fountain of Wealth at Suntec City

A 56-year-old man was hospitalized after his car crashed into the Fountain of Wealth at Suntec City early on July 13.

Photos showed the car overturned, with passers-by assisting the driver.

The accident, which occurred around 12:15 am, is under investigation for dangerous driving.

The driver was conscious when taken to the hospital and is being investigated for dangerous driving. Police investigations are ongoing

The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) transported the conscious man to Tan Tock Seng Hospital.

The Fountain of Wealth, a notable landmark, is currently closed for maintenance until July 25. Suntec City is cooperating with the investigation but has not provided further details.

In February 2003, a crane lowering a new Mitsubishi Colt car tipped over and damaged the Fountain of Wealth, resulting in an $850,000 repair bill and a High Court dispute over payment.
