Motorcyclist went into opposite lane and crashed onto another motorcyclist

Singapore: A Motorcyclist was captured on dashcam crashing into an oncoming motorcyclist while overtaking.

In the dashcam footage, the overtaking motorcycle tried to overtake the car on the left lane while going into a corner. As the motorcycle went pass the car on the left lane and goes into the corner, the bike filtered into an opposite lane.

In an unfortunate turn of even, another motorcycle was spotted to be exiting out of the corner from the opposite lane. Both motorcyclists was caught off guard and crashed together.

First-time offenders convicted of dangerous driving may be jailed for up to a year, fined up to S$5,000, or both. Repeat offenders may be jailed for up to two years, fined up to S$10,000, or both.

In October this year, a lorry was spotted driving against traffic along TPE, and the driver was subsequently arrested.

Speeding, aggressive driving, and distracted driving is one of the most commonly practiced dangerous driving behavior on the road. Serious injuries occur because a driver ‘s speed exceeded the vehicle’s ability to provide protection.

The percentage of distracted drivers operating their vehicles on roadways at any given time may be as high as 50%.
