Dog and owner lose on the road

Singapore: A dog owner lost control of her dog in the middle of a traffic junction and risked her life to save the dog.

Caught on dashcam footage, a dog owner was crossing the road at the pedestrian crossing in a junction. When crossing the pedestrian crossing, the dog got excited and dashed out to the middle of the road.

The dog owner gives chase to the dog and tried to retrieve the dog (in the middle of the road) desperately. The dog avoided its owner and seems to think that the owner is playing catch with it.

As the pedestrian lights turn red and the traffic lights turn green, the dog dashed towards cam car lane, and a truck whisks past the dog. Almost knocking the dog and causing an accident.

This causes the owner to panic and tried to catch the dog faster, but as she tried to catch her dog, she fell, and the video ended there.

Throughout the footage, the dog was not on a leash. In Singapore, it is an offense to walk your dog in public spaces without a leash. Failure to comply may net you a fine of up to $5000 or more.
